In a little Bulgarian Village, where it was possible to break the ice quite fast, we gave some rounds on the Pino Bike!

Even 3347 km from Bremen away we find something "from home": I don’t really like it but the Beck’s beer costs a third of what we pay at home. In general you can say that Bulgaria is the half of the price of Romania which already was half of the price of Germany. For 5 Euros here three hungry people can eat as much as they want. In our private accommodation in Varna (Black Sea, touristy) which we arrived two days earlier that my excel tab said, we pay 6,50 Euro a night.

Since Varna Marion Rickmann is joining us. She’s 62 years old and totally blind. We are visiting a CBM-sponsored "Varna School for the Blind"
Marion is feeling the captions of the children’s painted pictures in braille.

In the school there is quite a nice atmosphere and even the multiple disabled children find a lot toys that train their skills.

During Joachim holds my tandem while i am shooting this photo, Marion and Susanne are already preparing their downhill into this nice Bulgarian valley.
In Average we like Bulgarian landscape better than Rumanian.

Compared to 1999 when I rode through Bulgaria a lot changed. I didn’t see such perverted ads and I can’t remember people being so unfriendly like I felt it this time. For example when I entered a shop to buy something I always try to smile and look friendly. Almost in 90 % of the cases I was treated very unwelcome and unfriendly. Strange
